Temporary reprieve on Obama's War on Women Religious

Jan 1, 2014
Press Release
WASHINGTON  Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor issued a decision Tuesday night temporarily suspending the HHS mandate forcing religious organizations to provide for abortion drugs, sterilization and contraception. Representative Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) remains an outspoken opponent to ObamaCare and its attacks on religious and personal liberties:
"I congratulate the numerous Catholic groups, and all men and women of faith, who are fighting tirelessly against President Obama's thinly veiled religious bigotry and his constant war on religion. These HHS mandates are a threat to the religious liberties of all Americans, especially groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor and thousands of other religious and faith-based groups and churches. This battle to defend religious liberty and the rights of conscience is one of many to come in protecting our constitutional rights."
This decision comes shortly after the DC Court of Appeals provided its own injunction against the HHS Mandate on behalf of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. Congressman Huelskamp praised these decisions as moving in the right direction to force the Obama Administration to abandon this clear threat to religious liberty.
