Rep. Tim Huelskamp’s talk with Clay Center constituents on Monday didn’t bring a large crowd, about a dozen attendees, but those who came expressed enthusiastic support for what the Republican Congressman is doing.
The $17.5 trillion owed in national debt is only going to get worse, Huelskamp said, adding that about $5.5 trillion has been added since President Obama took office. Reigning in the national debt has been Huelskamp’s battle cry since he was elected to the House about four years ago.
